Henry is married to the former Ann Firestone and they have two sons and five grandchildren. He graduated from Kosciusko High School, attended the University of Mississippi and graduated from John A. Gupton School of Mortuary Science in 1964. He is a third-generation funeral director and has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 50+ years. He also holds a Burial and Life, Health, and Accident Insurance License. He has earned the designation as a Certified Funeral Service Practitioner.

He is a Vietnam veteran having attained the rank of SP5(E-5) and served with the 173rd Petroleum Company out of Greenwood, MS and the 173rd Graves Registration Detachment which was attached to the U. S. Army Mortuary in DaNang. His position at the Mortuary required him to have a Top Secret Clearance. He is a Life Member of the VFW Post #1983 and the American Legion Post #44.

Henry is a past president of the former Kosciusko-Attala County Chamber of Commerce-IDC and former member of the Kosciusko City Planning Commission as well as a Past President of the Kosciusko Jaycees. He is a Past President of the Mississippi Funeral Directors Association, a past member and Secretary-Treasurer (Executive Officer) of the Mississippi State Board of Embalming and the Mississippi State Board of Funeral Service for sixteen consecutive years, Past President of the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Board, Past Vice-Chairman of the American Board of Funeral Service Education and a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice. He also served on numerous committees of the National Funeral Directors Association.

His hobbies are fishing, especially with a fly rod, hunting, and photography.

Hunter is a 1992 Graduate of Kosciusko High School. He received a degree in Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi in 1997. In 1999, he graduated from John A. Gupton Mortuary School in Nashville, TN. He is the Past President of the Mississippi Funeral Directors Association, and Vice Chairman of the Mississippi Funeral Directors Service Board. When he is not working; he enjoys precision and defensive shooting sports, spending time with his family, and reading.

Born in Clarksdale, MS., 1983 Graduate of Northwest Mississippi Community College Mortuary Science Technology program at Desoto Center in Southaven, MS. Completed requirements of the Mississippi State Board of Embalming including a one year apprenticeship, six months of which was at Jordan Funeral Home under Henry H. Jordan, Jr. Wife is the former Debra Jefcoat of Clarksdale, MS with roots in Winona and Poplar Creek, MS.
