Virginia Forbes Jordan

Mary Virginia Forbes Jordan, 99, died July 3, 2015, at Montgomery Gardens, in Starkville, MS. Rev. David Harrell officiated. Mrs. Jordan was born February 23, 1916, in Atoka, TN, to Colie Hendrix and Mary Iona Moore Forbes. She married Bart W. Jordan, in Memphis, TN, on March 10, 1939. She is survived by her three daughters, Sylvia Hesse, Barbara (Ron) Walker, and Joan (Ray) Lacey; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Thelma Duke. She was preceded in death her husband; her parents; and her brothers, Casey, Stanley, and Neil Forbes. Pallbearers are Ryan Lacey, Leif Lacey, Bart Walker, Will White, Marsh Nabors, Sean Swisher, Chuck Caldwell, Ron Davis, Mike White, and Tim Stone.
