Virgil Leon Summers, 86, died Friday, May 6, 2016 at his home. Visitation is Saturday, May 7 from 5-8 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home and Sunday from 2:30-3 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. at New Hope with burial to follow in the New Hope Cemetery. He was a member and deacon of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Claire Howard Summers of Kosciusko; sons, Robert Summers and Kenneth Summers, both of Kosciusko; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Inez Summers of Kosciusko; and a first cousin, Quinna Cooper of Piggott, AR. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Clairice; and his parents, Skyler Otis and Loma Pettit Summers.
