Trixie Gortney Colwell

Trixie Gortney Colwell McCool, formerly of St. Petersburg, FL Trixie Gortney Colwell, 94, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at her home. Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of the local arrangements. She was a member of Berea Baptist Church. Survivors include son, Billy Wayne Gortney and wife, Myriam Venabides of McCool, MS; daughter, Elaine Boyd and husband, Bobby of McCool, MS; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Bertha Johnson Tucker; first husband, Eugene Gortney; and second husband, George Colwell. Pallbearers were Cindy Thornton, Carolyn Lampier, Billy Wayne Gortney, Lee Boyd, Nicole Gortney, and Bobby Boyd. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
