Timothy "Tim" Sanders Lawrence

Timothy “Tim” Sanders Lawrence, 67, of Kosciusko, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026. He was born on January 14, 1959, in Jackson, Mississippi.

Tim grew up in the Nile community, where he developed a deep and lasting love for the outdoors. Though life carried him elsewhere, his heart never strayed far from home. He often returned to tend his garden and work the land he loved, finding peace in the simple beauty of nature.

Tim was a member of South Huntington Street Church of Christ in Kosciusko, Mississippi.

Tim proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for six years as a mechanic, where he was entrusted with overseeing the motor pool. After his military service, he continued his life of hard work by logging and thinning timber. In later years, he found his true calling in antique hardwood floor sales and installation, leaving behind not just floors, but works of art in homes and businesses across Mississippi and beyond.

Known for his remarkable skill and unmatched work ethic, Tim was truly a jack-of-all-trades. No job was too small or too complex. Whether it involved flooring, construction, plumbing, mechanical repairs, or electrical work, he approached every task with pride and precision. More importantly, he was a man people trusted-dependable, honest, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

He is survived by his wife, Clare Lawrence; his children, Bridget Whittemore (Marshall), Brittany Waggener (Stephen); his stepchildren, Jessica Steen (Shannon), Tony Medine (Amanda), Jason Medine (Amanda), and Jenny Taylor (Trey); one sister, Pam Lawrence Eads (Paul); two brothers, Steve Lawrence (Jennifer), and Chris Lawrence (Sally); his grandchildren, Houston Whittemore, Tripp Waggener, John Patrick Waggener; as well as a host of step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and three nephews and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Martha Lawrence.

Tim will be remembered as one of the kindest and most genuine souls. He had a gentle spirit and a smile that could light up a room the moment he walked through the door. He lived his life with quiet strength, humility, and an unwavering willingness to help others. To know Tim was to know someone who gave freely of his time, his talents, and his heart.

His legacy is not only found in the beautiful work he leaves behind, but also in the lives he touched and the love he shared. His family will carry forward the values he lived by-hard work, kindness, integrity, and compassion for others.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2026 and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Parkway Cemetery. Mr. Les Ferguson and Reverend Matt Steed will officiate the services.
