Mrs. Hodges was born in Attala County, to George Nebraska and Lottie Mae Tullos Strahan, on February 13, 1922. She was a retired seamstress with Garan, a member of New Salem Baptist Church, former member of the Sheriff's Posse Riding Club, and Snyder's Homemakers Club. Survivors include: a daughter, Sybil Hood; a son, Herbert Hodges, both of the Springdale community; sisters, Bernice Haire, and Dot King, of Winona, MS; seven grandchildren, multiple great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hodges was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert Martin Hodges; and a son, Tommy Galloway Hodges. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Larry Harvey will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Jordan Funeral Home.
