Ruth Parish Bailey

Ruth Parish Bailey, 89, resident of Gonzales, LA, passed away on May 22, 2025. She was born in McCool, MS on July 30, 1935, and married Hubert D. Bailey on January 1st, 1950. She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church.
Ruth was also a past member in the Garden Club, volunteering at the Fellowship Center, UMW and Pink Lady. She enjoyed her church and loved doing yard work and taking care of her flowers.
She is survived by her son, Timothy Bailey (Kathy); grandchildren, Kimberly Ford, Kelly Ford, Megan Bourgeois and Marcus Bailey; and brother Bobby Parish.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert D. Bailey; daughter, Nita Bailey Ford and parents Dewey and Mary Parish.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First United Methodist Church in Gonzales, LA.
A visitation for Ruth will be held Monday, May 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 224 W Constitution St, Gonzales, LA 70737. A visitation will occur the following day, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Jordan Funeral Home, 845 MS-12, Kosciusko, MS 70737. A funeral service follows at 7:00 PM.
