Mr. Deason was born April 9, 1934, in Kosciusko, to Joseph Clifton and Euala Jenkins Deason. He was long employed with Love's Greenhouses, and was then owner of Deason Wholesale. He attended Crestview Congregational Methodist Church, was an avid outdoorsman, loved hunting, and running dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark Deason; a sister, Genelle Parker; and a brother, Joseph "Junior" Deason. Those surviving him are his wife, Betty Deason, of Kosciusko; sons, Tim (Jamie) Deason, Jan (Cindy) Deason, and Steve (Debbie) Deason, all of Kosciusko; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Keen, Claudette Ford, and Carol Brady; a brother, Curtis Glenn Deason; and Sharon Dukes. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to French Camp Academy.
