Patricia “Trish” Harris Aldy, 76, of Attala County, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who passed away peacefully after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis on Sunday, April 26th, 2026.
She was born in Union, Mississippi where she spent her younger years before moving to Pisgah. She attended Pisgah Schools where she was a force to be reckoned with on the basketball court. After high school she pursued a degree in cosmetology, a profession in which she excelled for over 40 years with a culmination in her teaching on a national platform for Redken.
Through a blind date, she met the love of her life in Jackson, Mississippi and married in 2005 at which point, she made her home in Attala County. As the wife of a farmer, she embraced her role in this community and cherished her life here.
She was a devoted and loving mother of two daughters and two bonus daughters, all of whom she cherished deeply. As a country girl at heart, she loved her life on Aldy Farms, and her happiest moments were spent alternating between the farm and the beach, embracing the simple joys in life. For over 40 years, Trish practiced her artistry as a hairdresser at Earle and Joseph, transforming not only hairstyles but the confidence and spirits of those she touched. She was also a lifelong artist in multimedia and due to her naturally curious nature, she developed a passion for antiquing, even to the point of opening a local antique store which was her little “Something Special”. She also had a significant affinity for remodeling numerous houses, with her last project being to build the perfect art studio for her to continue her love of the arts; unfortunately, she was never able to utilize the space for her beautiful creations, though her memories will live on through the finalized perfect space.
She is survived by her loving husband of over 20 years, Tony Wilbur Aldy; her mother, Plevna Meador Harris; her daughters, Melissa Ivy Riche (Marshall Wolfe), Melanie Ivy Becton (Dr. Bret), Wyndy Aldy Peeples (Cody), and Vycky Aldy Estes (Casey); her sister, Dr. Stephanie Harris Welborn (Wilson); and her grandchildren: Ryan Lawrence (Lauren), Alexandra Romano (Zander), Dr. Brooks Becton, Ashton Rogers, Sam Lawrence, Robert Becton (Holleman), Tristan Riche, Blake Becton, and Landon Rogers (Aaryn Grace), along with many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren whom she dearly adored.
Trish was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Harris; her brother, Bruce Allan Harris; and her grandmothers, Levonia Rayburn Meador and Agnes Knight Harris.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at 11:00 at the Harmonia Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Sallis, Ms. A celebration of Trish’s life will be held at Jefferson Street Social at 2:00pm on May 2nd, 2026. At Trish’s request, please wear bright and colorful attire to honor both her bright and shining personality and her love for the arts.
