Mildred Pinkard Casey, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family in her home in Center, Mississippi. A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mildred touched the lives of many with her wisdom, love, and unwavering dedication to helping others.

Born on May 17, 1932, in Smyra, Mississippi, Mildred was the youngest of two siblings. She was a graduate of Zama High School. She married the love of her life, Joe Dempsey Casey, on June 28, 1952, and the two shared a joyful marriage of 44 years until his passing in 1996.

Mildred served as election commissioner of Attala County for over 30 years. She was a grower for Choctaw maid for over 30 years. She was an active member of Center Baptist Church from an early age of 18 until 2021, when she turned over her duties as church secretary.

She is survived by her sons, Danny and Ricky, daughters-in-law, Cindy and Wanda and six cherished grandchildren, Jason, Taylor (Hollee), Jessica (Justin), Scott (Lee), Emily (Paul), Jacob (Baylee), and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Ruthie Pinkard; husband, Joe D. Casey; brother, Ernest Pinkard; and grandson, Matt Nazary.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 8, 2025, at Center Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Brother Jeffery Hutchinson, pastor of Center Baptist Church will officiate the services. Burial will follow at Center Baptist Church Cemetery in Center, Mississippi.

Serving as pallbearers are Danny Casey, Ricky Casey, Taylor Casey, Scott Casey, Jacob Casey, and Justin Atchley. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jason Casey, Paul Goldman, Jimmy Pruitt, and Bud Moore.
