Mildred Wilkins Barrett

Mildred Wilkins Barrett, 72, of West, Mississippi passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Wilkins-McLellan Cemetery. Rev. Carlton McNeer will officiate the service.

Mildred was born on July 5, 1952, in Lexington, Mississippi to George Forrest Wilkins and Jerry Baxter Wilkins. She was employed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as an Intake Specialist. Mildred was a member of Mount Vernon Church, where she loved to study the bible. Mildred loved her dog, Ellie.

Mildred is survived by her sister, Ann Edwards (Tommy); nephew, Toby Edwards (Kelly); niece, Adrienne Edwards Bryant (Donnie); and great-nephews, Trace Edwards, Justin Edwards, Conley Bryant, and Heath Edwards.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Wilkins; mother, Jerry Wilkins; and nephew, Justin Edwards.

Serving as pallbearers will be Rufus Waddell, Justin Edwards, Heath Edwards, Toby Edwards, Conley Bryant, and Trace Edwards.
