Mary Skeen

Mary Skeen, 80, of Greenville, Mississippi formerly of Ethel, Mississippi, passed away Monday, December 1, 2025, at Minden Medical Center in Minden, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 12 :00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Carson Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December4, 2025, at Carson Ridge Baptist Church with burial at Carson Ridge Cemetery. Randy Rhodes will officiate the services.

Mary was born December 24, 1944, to Fred Leon Black and Annie Mae Bain in Mississippi. She had worked as office manager at Cunningham Enterprises, manager at Mini Storage facilities and rental houses in Greenville, Mississippi. Mary was a member of Riverport Baptist Church in Greenville, Mississippi. Mary moved in July 2024 and started going to church at Bienville Methodist Church in Bienville, Louisiana where Bro. Kelly Leach was the pastor.

Mary is survived by her sons, Roy (Bobbie Jo) Skeen, Jr. in Chesapeake, Maryland and Tony (Sharon) Skeen of Lena, Mississippi; daughter, Kristie (Micah) Crawford of Gibsland, Louisiana; grandchildren, Hunter Skeen, Rachael Hile, Cassandra Stokes, Preston Skeen, Hayden Skeen, Lainey Crawford, and Kenzi Crawford; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Black and Annie Bain Black, husband, Roy Skeen, Sr., daughter, Sherry Lynn Skeen, brother, James Black, and sister, Mavis Veazey.

Serving as pallbearers are Todd Rhodes, Stacy Robinson, Eric Kerr, Ricky Skeen, Preston Skeen, and Hayden Skeen.
