Mary Louise "Tennie" Berry

Mary Louise “Tennie” Berry, 83, of Ethel, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Attala County Nursing Home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2025, and 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Ebenezer Cemetery. Randy Rhodes will officiate the services.

Mary was born on August 17, 1941, to Alvin Foy Brown and Minnie Louise Burchfield Brown in Attala County, Mississippi. She was a homemaker who loved hunting, fishing, tending to cattle, and farming. Mary was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Suzette Ruscoe of Ethel, Mississippi; grandsons, Jon Wyatt Ruscoe of Ethel, Mississippi and Matthew Stanford (Abby) Ruscoe of Coila, Mississippi; cousins, Terry Burchfield, Randy Burchfield, Bo Burchfield, Jerry Burchfield, Johnnie (Lady) Brock, and Kristi Burchfield; and niece, Lisa Moore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Foy Brown and Minnie Louise Burchfield Brown; her brother, Tommy Burchfield; and her cousins, Elmer Burchfield, James Burchfield, Donald Burchfield, and Jimmy Burchfield.

Serving as pallbearers are David Breazeale, Sam Bell, Brady Jackson, and Donny Breazeale. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Dobbin Thrasher, Faye Ballard, Harland Massey, Jo Edwards, and Randy Burchfield.
