James Floyd “Jim” Deason, 77, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 4, 2022 at the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Meggs officiating. Interment will be in the Kosciusko City Cemetery with military honors. Jim was born on July 23, 1944 in Kosciusko, MS to Albert Floyd and Clara Bell Carter Deason. He attended Second Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict stationed in Thailand as an airplane mechanic. Jim served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by three sons, John Deason, and his wife, Paige of Tuscaloosa, Phillip Deason, and his wife, Angie of Florida, Paul Deason, and his wife, Sharee of Clinton, MS; thirteen grandchildren, Tamera Deason, Amber Deason, John Deason, Samantha Deason, Courtney Deason, Jordan Deason, James Deason, Jack Carlock, Sophie Carlock, Harrison Carlock, Josh Gibson, Jeremy Gibson, and Lacey Beauchamp; ten great-grandchildren, Braxton Stewart, Lucas Beauchamp, Blake Deason, Ryleigh Deason, Dillon Deason, Paisleigh Deason, Nevaeh Washburn, Gabrielle Nash, Sarah Ewing, and Christopher Deason. Those preceding Jim in death are his parents and his wife, Catherine George Deason, and one son, James Kirk Deason.
