He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Robertson Bordelon; his daughter, Courtney Bordelon; his grandson, Will Lewis; and his father, James Bordelon, Sr.
James was a man that enjoyed the simple things in life. He was happy with $20 in his pocket, a “cold drank,” and a day spent at home in his chair. He had a gentle spirit and generous heart and was always willing to lend a hand. No matter his circumstances, whenever he was asked how he was, his reply was the same, “I’m just lovely. Thank you.” Through his kindness and the things he quietly loved, he left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Serving as pall bearers are Chris Carpenter, Luke Eaton, Eli Lewis, Adam Lewis, Aden Lewis, and Rob Eaton. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Colston Carpenter, Rhett Eaton, and Vol Eaton.
There will be a graveside service on Sunday, February 1, at 2:00 at Harmonia Cemetery in Sallis.
Memorials may be made to LeBonheur Children's Hospital, who treated his daughter, or to the Harmonia Cemetery Fund.
