Gloria Ann Tavares

Gloria Ann Tavares, 76, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Baptist Medical Center-Attala. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, August 5, 2024, at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Doty Springs Cemetery. Rev. Jim Jackson will officiate the services.

Gloria was a homemaker and member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Kosciusko.

She is survived by her husband, Sammie Charles Tavares of Kosciusko; two daughters, Jennifer (Terry) Bruce of Carmack and Candance (Tim) Ables of Kosciusko; four grandchildren, Alex Frank, Dylan (Courtney) Kyzer, Mayson (Logan Phillips) Kyzer, and Hailyn Kyzer. A host of nieces and nephews also survive her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, William Leon Russell and Annie Elizabeth Barnett Russell; one infant son, Michael Charles Tavares; brothers, Larry Russell and James Russell; one sister, Ilene Tavares.
