Floyd Lenwood McGee, 91, of Thomastown, MS, died peacefully Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. He was born June 1, 1926 in Collins, MS. He was a veteran of World War II, and a Purple Heart recipient. After his military time, he was a sheriff's deputy with the Shelby County Police Department. He then retired from Trailways Bus Charters in 1993. Those surviving him are his granddaughter, Courtney, and husband, Chad Lepard, and their two girls, of Thomastown; three sons, Jim McGee, Bill McGee, and Larry McGee of Louisiana; a brother, Ben McGee, and sister, Mary Alice Smith of Collins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Sue McGee; and a daughter, Kay Thompson; and his parents, Floyd and Thelma McGee.
