Elbert "Butch" Johnson, Jr. Kosciusko Elbert Floyd "Butch" Johnson, Jr., 44, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017. Visitation is from 5-10 p.m. Thursday, October 12 at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday in the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Hebron Cemetery in Montgomery County. Rev. Eddie Pierce will officiate. He attended Open Door Baptist Church. He loved to work and worked seven days a week from sunup to sundown. He also loved hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Jessica Dawn Palmertree Johnson of Kosciusko; son, Elbert "Trey" Johnson, III of Kosciusko; mother, Judy Johnson of Eupora; brother, Vernon Johnson of Tom Nolan, MS; sisters, Alma James of Carthage, Luna Stafford of Eupora, Kelly Faye Lomax, Sharlene Pease of North Dakota, and Darlene Goodwin of Greenwood; father-in-law, Larry D. Palmertree, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Teddy James, Larry D. Palmertree, II, and Alvin James; sisters-in-law, Samantha Palmertree and Lorie Smith; eighteen nieces; fifteen, nephews; fifteen great nieces; and fifteen great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Johnson, Sr; brother, Michael Johnson, Sr.; mother-in-law, Debbie Palmertree; grandmother-in-law, Bessie "Lady" Palmertree; and one niece. Pallbearers are Teddy James, Paul Monroe, Dusty Douglas, David Jones, Vernon Johnson, Aaron Johnson, George Thompson, and Ruggie Thompson.
