Bobby Howell

Robert “Bobby” Wesley Howell, Sr., 73, of Kosciusko, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at his residence.

Bobby was born on January 3, 1953, in Kosciusko, Mississippi, to Cecil Wesley Howell, Sr., and Alice Janette Frazier. He graduated from high school in Sardis, Mississippi, and was a member of Second Baptist Church. His career was primarily based on construction and asphalt work. He enjoyed working with cars, watching NASCAR and game shows, and spending time with his family.

Bobby is survived by his mother Alice Janette Frazier of Kosciusko; his siblings Cecil Howell, Jr. of Kosciusko, Janice Kuriger of Madison, Kathy (Richard) Maddox of Kosciusko, Anita Odom of Kosciusko, and Linda Battles of Burleson; his former wife Donna Howell of Elizabethton; his sons, Hayden (Leann) Self of Columbus, Robert (Leigh Ann) Howell Jr. of Canton, and Tyler Howell of Canton; his daughters Jennifer (Tank) Dugger of Elizabethton, Lisa (Roy) Lee of Kosciusko, and Haley Howell of Pelahatchie; grandchildren, Kyle, Melanie, Zac, Wes, Matthew, Madie, Shelby, Savannah, and Brookleigh.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bittie Howell; his father, Cecil Howell, Sr.; his stepfather, Edward Frazier; his sisters Rita Ellington and Mary Sledge; his brothers, Ronnie Howell and Buddy Frazier; and his son, Gerald Self.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Jordan Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Parkway Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Chad Odom, Christopher Odom, Zac Lee, Wes Lee, Gabriel Odom, and Noah Odom. Serving as an honorary pallbearer is Charles Applegate.
