Billie W Pettit

Billie Wayne Pettit, 94, of Collinsville, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his residence. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Jerusalem Cemetery. Rev. Virgil Walters.

Billie was born on February 13, 1931, to Bennie Ed Pettit and Carrie Bell Brown Pettit in Kosciusko, Mississippi. He was an auto mechanic.

Billie is survived by sister, Ruby Henderson of Meridian, Mississippi, sisters-in-law, Rita Pettit and Brenda Pettit of Kosciusko, Mississippi. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Ed Pettit and Carrie Bell Brown Pettit, his wife, Nancy Louise Pettit, his siblings, Infant Martha Geniece Pettit, Infant Grady Franklin Pettit, and Infant James Benton Pettit, Clyde (Rose Lee) Pettit, Earnest (Virginia) Pettit, Nan (James) Sills, Terry Pettit, and James “Pep” Pettit, brothers-in-law, Tommy Henderson.

Serving as pallbearers are Wayne Pettit, Phil Pettit, Lamar Pettit, Ronnie Joe Hutchison, and Andrew Moorehead. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Kent Henderson and Charles Pettit.
