Berlie Winford Tindoll, 85, of Kosciusko, MS, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday, February 6, 2026. He was born on March 9, 1940, to Mr. and Mrs. Berlin Wilson Tindoll of Carmack Community in Mississippi. He attended Carmack Elementary School and graduated from Vaiden High School in 1958.
Berlie worked on the farm with his daddy until he attended a welding school where he excelled in metal fabrication. This began a lifelong love of working with his hands. He was a welder for over 60 years. His last welding project involved making metal Christmas trees, crosses, and stars. As one who has never been known to be idle, in order to stay busy, he began making 3.5 inch crosses from rebar. His love for Jesus inspired him to carry crosses in his pocket to share with others. He would give a cross to anyone he met and tell them, “It is all about Jesus!”
Mr. Tindoll is survived by his wife, Genie Tindoll; daughters, Sandra (Chuck) Slay, Donna (Earl Dodd) Browning, and Suzanne (Bubba) Pinkard, all of Kosciusko, MS; grandchildren, Zac (Kari) Grantham, Chelsea (Brit) Barlow, Kyle Sims, Kayce (Jordan) Clark, Brittany (Hunter) McCool, and Holli (Evan) Chandler; and many great-grandchildren. He is survived by his brother, Avalon (Janice) Tindoll of Saltillo, MS.
Mr. Tindoll was preceded in death by his parents, Berlin Wilson Tindoll and Mildred Inez Scoggins Tindoll; and a sister, Wayma Armstrong.
Those serving as pallbearers are grandchildren Zac Grantham, Chelsea Barlow, Kyle Sims, Kayce Clark, Brittany McCool, and Holli Chandler.
Members of his Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Kosciusko will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation is 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m., Monday, February 9, 2026, in the Chapel at the First Baptist Church of Kosciusko, MS. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Kosciusko, MS. The interment will be in Parkway Cemetery. Dr. Luke Gardner and Rev. Mark Parnell will serve as officiants for the services.
