Barbara Kay Musselwhite

Barbara Kay Musselwhite, 72, of Kosciusko, Mississippi, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10: 30 a.m., Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Springdale Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 10: 30 a.m. at Springdale Baptist Church with burial at Musselwhite Cemetery. Rev. James Culpepper is officiating the services.

Kay was born on January 9, 1953, in Mississippi to Hugh Allen Dodd and Patty George Odom Dodd. She was retired from the childcare ministries at First Baptist Church Kosciusko. Kay was an active member of Springdale Baptist Church. She was a board member of Sugar Creek Water Association and was a tractor enthusiast.

Kay is survived by her son, Zack Musselwhite of Columbus, Mississippi; daughters, Kelly Kennedy of Brandon, Mississippi and Genny (Scott) Chamblee of Kosciusko, Mississippi; grandchildren, Taylor Musselwhite, Marlee Musselwhite, Leila Kane Musselwhite, Lynnly Musselwhite, Katherine Kennedy, Mia Munoz, and Matthew Chamblee; and great-grandchild, Sunny Young; and brother, George Allen Dodd of Springdale community, Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Allen Dodd and Patty Odom Dodd, sons, Trevor Musselwhite and Josh Wilson.

Serving as pallbearers are Wayne Shelton, Nicholas Dodd, Trent Fleming, Will Dodd, Greg Chandler, and Kasey Chandler.
