Agnes Burkes

Agnes Burkes, 97, of Lexington, Mississippi, passed away Friday, December 26, 2025, at her residence. A private family service was held at Harmony Cemetery. Randy Rhodes officiated the service.

Agnes was born June 27, 1928, to Henley Joseph Simmons and Violet McDaniel Simmons in Holmes County, Mississippi. She worked at Lexington Products (subsidiary of GM) in Lexington, Mississippi, where she was a supervisor.

Agnes is survived by 5 children; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
