Marjorie was born September 13, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland to Vernon Addison Stonesifer and Mary Barnett Stonesifer. She grew up as a little sister fiercely protected by two older brothers. Following her high school graduation, she went on a blind date with a soldier, who turned out to be the love of her life. Together, they raised 4 children, plus many bonus children. Margie reminded everyone she mothered that the word, hate, was not to be a part of their vocabulary. They were allowed to say “that’s just not my favorite.” Margie was an administrative assistant at Magnolia Bible College. She also had a long career as an employee of Trustmark Bank in Vicksburg. Marjorie was a member of South Huntington Street Church of Christ. She was very involved in the activities of the church, especially planning, cooking, and serving meals. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman.

Marjorie is survived by her husband of 62 years, Leslie Eugene Ferguson, Sr.; sons Les (Becki) Ferguson, Jr. of Oxford, Mississippi, and Billy (Lisa) Ferguson of Columbus, Mississippi; daughters Julie (Shawn) Hardin of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Amy (Thomas) Simmons of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brothers Lonnie Stonesifer of Joppa, Maryland, and Jimmy Stonesifer of Bel Air, Maryland; grandchildren, Kyle Ferguson, Conner Ferguson, Michael Rangel, Max Rangel, Casey Ferguson, Cale Ferguson, Logan Ferguson, Matthew Ferguson, Ally Ferguson, Andrew Hardin, Gracie Hardin, Austin Simmons, Abby Barrie, and Brenda Arvisu; great-grandchildren, Jude and Bradley Ferguson, Roman, Aspen, Scotland, Oakley, and Saxon Ferguson, Paxton, Riley Kate, Caroline, and Blair Hardin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Stonesifer and Mary Barnett Stonesifer, grandson, Cole Ferguson, and daughter-in-law Karen Ferguson.

Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be made to South Huntington Street Church of Christ, Mexico Missions, or Magnolia Bible Institute.
